Frenship ISD declared that Lela Vela, FISD director of finance, has been chosen as a 2022 Increase Award recipient by the Texas Association of Faculty Small business Officers.
Vela is a person of only seven general public instruction administrators across the condition of Texas to obtain the award this year, according to a news release from the district.
Vela and the other recipients of the Rise Award were picked based mostly on their management traits, achievements, and their motivation to proceed expanding their occupation. The award also recognizes the recipients as long term leaders who are on the increase in the college organization community and profession.
Vela has been with the Frenship family members for 10 yrs, serving in many roles in the Frenship ISD Small business Business office which includes Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an active member of TASBO, earning their highest certification of Registered Texas School Organization Administrator, but she also participates in numerous group and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to younger enterprise pros and college students.
“For the previous 10 years, Mrs. Vela has been an inspiration and guiding drive in the budgeting, accounting, and monetary operations for Frenship ISD,” stated Frenship ISD Assistant Superintendent Main Monetary Officer Farley Reeves. “She has supplied masterful leadership to the district local community in acquiring audio budgeting treatments, furnishing monetary guidance, instruction, and exceptional guidance to all stakeholders.”
As a Increase Award receiver, Vela was honored in entrance of faculty business enterprise leaders throughout Texas at the 2022 TASBO Engage Meeting Awards Luncheon. Vela states she was humbled to acquire the honor, and she is excited to continue on growing as a chief to better serve Frenship ISD.
